Given the economic situation due to the pandemic, we had modest expectations for our annual Phoebe Birthday Fundraiser. This year, like the past couple of years, we decided to support Hospice of the Chesapeake's Days of Joy. This benefits families in the pediatric hospice program.
Despite the situation facing the restaurant industry, Brian Boru Irish Restaurant and Pub hosted our fundraiser. We raised nearly $1000 thanks to them and the exceptional kindness of a number of their patrons. Brian Boru continues to host other fundraisers as well! Please see their Facebook page!
Stephanie Wright's penguin masks--she made and sold 140 masks--generated both tremendous interest and $1,400 for the cause! We also love hearing about how much use they are getting!
Thanks to your generosity we raised over $2,000 via our Facebook fundraiser.
All-in-all, we raised nearly $4,500--which we are rounding up to $5,000.
